OUR COMPETITIVE PROGRAMS

TDS Competitive Programs have been professionally designed to meet the needs of the most serious dancers. Our program works with passionate and talented students to build the skills they need to continue in a professional direction and excel in dance. We focus on providing a full dance education with a strong foundation in classical ballet and the most innovative & contemporary dance styles. Our students are further developed by progressing thru Examinations, working with Guest Faculty and attending customized workshops with industry professionals.

PRE COMPETITIVE for dancers 4-7 years | 2+ hours per week.
PART TIME for dancers 6 years and up | 3.5 – 6 hours per week.
FULL TIME for dancers 6 years and up | 8+ hours per week.



Kelly has been a professional freelance artist in Toronto since graduating with honours from Ryerson University’s Performance Dance program in 2010. She has also attended and trained at Quinte Ballet School, Joffrey Ballet and Springboard Danse Montreal.

EVAN SUPPLE

2017-20 Choreographer
Evan earned a BFA with honours from Marymount Manhattan College in 2016. While at Marymount, he danced in works by Dwight Rhoden, Paul Taylor, Aszure Barton, Desmond Richardson, and Alexandra Damiani.

LINDSAY LEUSCHNER

2012-13 Choreographer / Summer Faculty Guest
At the young age of two, Lindsay began her love for dance. She trained at C.B. Dance Academy in Richmond Hill, Ontario for eight years. She then moved to Elite Danceworx in Markham under the direction of Dawn Rappitt where she intensely furthered her training in all styles including jazz, contemporary, hip hop, tap, acro, partnering and lifting, musical theatre, pointe and ballet.

Here is where she began the Vaganova pre-professional level of ballet, and was selected to compete at the Youth American Grand Prix ballet competition held in Chicago. Lindsay has achieved several awards in the competitive dance world, including Ms. Dance of Canada 2009, 1st Runner Up VIP at JUMP Nationals 2010 in New York City, American Dance Awards ‘Dancer of the Year’ regional finalist, and was named ‘Dancer of then Weekend’ at Coastal Dance Rage in 2009. She has also had incredible opportunities throughout her dance career that have made her grow tremendously as a dancer. She assisted Blake McGrath and Mia Michaels on So You Think You Can Dance Canada seasons 1,2, and 3, as well as danced in three of Blake McGrath’s music videos, including ‘Stage Fright’, ‘The Night’, and ‘Relax’. She danced at the CityTV New Year’s Eve Bash 2010 at Nathan Phillips Square with Blake McGrath, was Dee Caspery’s assistant at JUMP Dance Convention in 2008, and was selected to be a part of Capezio’s Fashion Show Choreographed by Mandy Moore at the Dance Teacher’s Summit 2009 in New York City. Her most recent and proudest achievements so far in her career were performing at the JUNO’s 2012 with Anjulie, performing with Carly Rae Jepsen at the 2012 MMVA’S, assisting Stacey Tookey at the NUVO Convention and being Top 6 in season 4 of So You Think You Can Dance Canada this past summer. The show was an incredible learning experience for her and had the privilege of working with brilliant choreographers such as Mia Michaels, Blake McGrath, Luther Brown, Sean Cheeseman, Melissa Williams, Sabrina Matthews, Stacey Tookey, Sergio Trujillo, Jean Marc Genereux, Tony Meredith and Melanie LePatin, Longinus Fernandes, Gustavo Vargas and Sho Tyme. This journey allowed her to expand her knowledge of her own genre, as well as learn new styles of dance such as Bollywood, salsa and house. Her experience on the show has opened so many doors and Lindsay is excited for what her future has in store for her. She plans to continue a successful career in dance, and to perform on stage professionally, as this is what she has loved since the beginning.

SIONA JACKSON

2011/12 Season
Siona Jackson is a performer, choreographer, and dance instructor in Toronto. Born and raised in Prince George, B. C., she trained with Sonia Fabian in ballet, tap and jazz. Siona received honors through the Royal Academy of Dance and Dance Education Syllabuses, while having a successful competitive career in many provincial festivals and competitions.

Right after high school graduation, she was Toronto bound to continue her love of dance at Ryerson University. After graduating from Ryerson, Siona continued her training in San Francisco (Savage Jazz), New York (Susie Taylor, Lynn Simonson, Mia Michaels), Los Angeles (Wes Veldnik and Wade Robson), Toronto (Molly Melloy, Stelio Calagias and Richard Smith). Siona toured with Smile Theatre playing the role of Kitty, in the Canadian play Dance Danse Dance (Tom Kneebone). This led to ensemble work in, West Side Story and Chess (Applause, Applause Productions) and CARMEN (Hamilton Opera Company). Then taking to the seas, Siona danced and choreographed for Stop Tyme Productions (Carol Forest) on Reagent Cruise Lines. Other credits include Michelle Wright (Live at Casino Niagara), YTV-Live with Hansen (Wonderland) and System Crash (YTV), Superstar (Paramount Pictures- with Molly Shannon and Will Ferrell), Sally Yeh (Its My Prime -Hong Kong and Malaysia tour) McFly (One for the Radio- video), Sandrine (Where Do We Go –video) and Love Follows (Falling Faster -video). With the desire to showcase her own works, Siona created the two dance projects Jackson Dance Network and Je Danse. These projects were commissioned in the following venues: Dusk Dances (Toronto) Dancing on the Edge (Vancouver) Canadian Dance Festival (Ottawa), Premiere Dance Theatre (presently known as the Fleck Theatre) Ffida Festival (Distillery District Toronto) and Encore Festival (Trois Riviere, Quebec). In 2007, Siona collaborated with Dr. Katherine Boydell of Sick Kids Hospital -Mental Health Department and composer Tim Isherwood of Sound Assembly to present a new research performance to an audience of international researchers, doctors and students. The work was entitled Hearing Voices- Youth and Psychosis. As a result of this work, Siona joined forces with fellow artists Leah Jackson and Neesa Kenemy and founded a new performance company entitled Creative Habitat Dance. In 2010, Creative Habitat was the grant recipient from CIHR, funding an educational tour in Toronto high schools. Currently Creative Habitat is collaborating with, Toronto violinist, Dr. Draw composting and creating new repertoire works for 2011 showcased at Fleck Theatre in January.

STEPHEN ROBERTS

2011/12 Season
Stephen Roberts is an established performer, choreographer, adjudicator and dance educator. Stephen trained on full scholarship at Sheridan Institute’s Music Theatre – Performance Program as well as on full scholarship at the Performer’s Training Outlet in New York City. Stephen also studied Benesh Notation for Classical Ballet (RAD) through the University of Waterloo.

While training, Stephen was the recipient of several prestigious awards including the Ron Holgerson Award (Sheridan), The Mayor’s Medal (ACVI), The Judi Longfield Award (Town of Whitby), The Pauline Laing Memorial Award (DDSB), as well remaining a Weston National Scholar for all three consecutive years at Sheridan. Stephen is a past associate of the Performing Arts Educator’s of Canada (Ballet, Tap, Jazz & Acrobatics Divisions), a current member of the Professional Adjudicator’s Alliance, the Canadian Actor’s Equity Association, and the Alliance of Canadian Cinema, Television and Radio Artists. Stephen has taught at over 50 studios and schools across Ontario including his position on faculty at George Brown Dance through Ballet Jörgen. Stephen’s choreography has been seen at Sheridan Theatre (studio & mainstage for Sheridan College), the Toronto Centre for the Performing Arts, the Miss Universe Canada Pageant and Disney World, Florida. As a sought-after dance adjudicator, Stephen has held many auditions as a panelist for such schools as Etobicoke School of the Arts, Cawthra Park Secondary School as well as George Brown College. Stephen is also a resident adjudicator for the Canadian National Exhibition and the Kiwanis Festival. Stephen’s performance career has taken him across Canada from the Stratford Shakespeare Festival (2 consecutive Guthrie Awards) to the Charlottetown Festival. He has worked with such artists as Broadway’s Sergio Trujillo, Canadian Idol winner Eva Avila, the National Ballet’s Roberto Campanella, Helix Dance Company’s Linda Garneau, Law & Order’s Cynthia Dale and So You Think You Can Dance’s Amy Wright. Some credits include the title role in Peter Pan (Neptune Theatre), the Dora Nominated Altar Boyz in the role of Abraham (Angelwalk & Victoria Playhouse), Calvin in Guys & Dolls (Drayton Entertainment), Degrassi Goes Hollywood, MTV’s Save The Last Dance 2, the Canadian Première of Dirty Rotten Scoundrels (Drayton) and the Scarecrow in The Wizard of Oz (Neptune Theatre & Drayton Entertainment). He will also be joining the Broadway Touring Company of MARRY POPPINS in the new year.
